QUESTIONS PRESENTED FOR REVIEW 1) Whether the Illinois Appellate Court erred where it did not find that the State’s reason requesting the removal of two Black prospective jurors was a pretext for purposeful discrimination. 2) Whether intervention from this Court is needed to fulfill the promise of Batson by regulating voir dire so as to prevent the removal of prospective jurors where such removal has a discriminatory effect on a defendant’s jury. i
