Question Presented (AI Summary)

Whether a pro se plaintiff experiencing personal hardship and property damage may be granted an extension of time to file a petition for writ of certiorari due to extraordinary circumstances

Question Presented (OCR Extract)

No question identified. : The. damages were so widespread because our local stations and city did not have time to react with the sirens or broadcast any warnings.. I have so much responsibility for the photographs and having multiple roofing companies estimate damages to my home and automobiles with adjusters coming in and out it is hard times right now and I ask the court to please allow more time. Conclusion Ihave never had so much sadness to deal with like this and personal financial burden so high from the loss of my cars.. I have active leaks in my home and the backlog for payment from the insurance companies is pushing me right into the deadline for my submission to the court.. This incident has prevented me from being able to focus on the case because I am so worried about my house and future transportation and getting all the appointments and visits and estimates from contractors... I am asking the court to please allow a 60 day extension so I can have the roof fixed, my ceilings fixed from the huge stains and get transportation.. I don’t have a car right now and the adjusters have not been here to make any payments and it causes me so many worries.. Plaintiff is having problems trying to concentrate and prepare the petition due to the mountain of problems associated with the storm and the clean up and recovery with the phone always ringing.. The plaintiff works during the day so after work T have to deal with everything.. We may have a state of emergency declared in our city of Rock Hill SC by the city to help with the funding to get things going again.. I have enclosed copies of the last correspondence from the court of appeals 4" Circuit in Richmond Virginia.. I have also included photographs of my home my car and my leaks with You tube video stills that show the amount of damage the storm caused across the city of Rock Hill SC.. My submission is due in less than 2 wks. I am submitting this pleading of unforeseen circumstances that have caused great damage and financial hardship. I ask the court if it would please grant a 60 day extension of time so I can have enough time to prepare the Petition for Writ of Certiorari. I fear everything will collide with my due dates and I wont be able to do my best.. This is my last chance.. I need to do my best. I pray that this motion for more time is accepted as I reaily need to get my life back on course and get roof repaired and transportation restored. | hope and pray this hardship plea will be granted. Sincerely, Joe L.
