Greg Gogin v. Michael Meisner, Warden
Whether a pro se prisoner's motion for an enlargement of time to file a writ of certiorari should be granted when the petitioner claims limited legal knowledge and difficulty accessing legal resources
No question identified. : MOTION FOR ENLARGEMENT OF TIME Iam hereby requesting a 60 day extension of time for the following reasons: e The DECISION AND ORDER WAS filed by the 7 Circuit Court on January 22, 2025 and also by the United States Eastern District Court of Wisconsin on March 13, 2025. e Iam thus uncertain of when the 90 deadline to file with the United States Supreme Court is. e Iwas unaware that an appeal to this court could be made and only recently found out that it is a possibility. e It is difficult to schedule law library time here at FLCI due to DOC rules, and a conflict with my work and school schedules. e Ihave limited legal knowledge and am filing pro-se and time is needed for me to prepare. Petitioner desires and intends to file a Writ of Certiorari. Despite due diligence on part of Petitioner, the time currently allowed is inadequate. The Petitioner brings this motion in good faith and not for purposes of unnecessary delay or other dilatory reason.
