in this case and prepare a petition that fully addresses the important issues raised by the decision below. The legal issues in this case are pertinent to this Court’s jurisprudence on the Sixth Amendment and Brady v. Maryland. Preparing a petition will require careful study of numerous precedents to fully present the issues in a manner that will be most helpful to the Court. Additionally, Mr. Overton is an incarcerated individual on death row in Florida. Communicating with Mr. Overton regarding drafts of legal briefs and submissions requires additional time. For example, it takes at least one week to mail Mr. Overton legal documents, and it takes multiple weeks of planning to schedule a legal visit with Mr. Overton in-person. This additional time is necessary to allow counsel to ensure that Mr. Overton has an adequate chance to review and contribute to drafts prior to submission to this Court.
