Jefferson, No. 24-30709 (5th Cir.); USDC No. 2:24-CV-1846 — Request for Extension of Time to File Petition for Writ of Certiorari Dear Clerk: Pursuant to Rule 13.5 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of the United States, I respectfully request an extension of time to file a petition for writ of certiorari in the above-captioned case, The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals denied a Certificate of Appealability in United States v. Jefferson, No. 24-30709, on June 19, 2025. Under Rule 13, the current deadline for filing my petition for writ of certiorari is September 19, 2025. Due to limited access to legal resources, I am respectfully requesting additional time to research and prepare the petition. I understand that extensions of time are granted only for good cause and do not request this lightly. Granting this extension will allow me to present my petition in a way that will assist the Court’s consideration of the important federal questions involved. Thank you for your time and consideration. Respectfully submitted, Palma Jefferson, Jr. Pro Se RECEIVED SEP 22 2025 FFICE OF T SUBRE E COU ER
