No question identified. : SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES Orpheus and Kimberly Hanley, Petitioners, v. Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission; Pennsylvania Power Company’; Pennsylvania Power Company a/k/a Penn Power, Respondents. CORRECTED APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE PETITION FOR WRIT OF CERTIORARI To the Honorable Samuel A. Alito, Jr., Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and Circuit Justice for the Third Circuit: Pursuant to Supreme Court Rules 13.5, 22, and 30, Petitioners respectfully request a 60-day extension of time to file a petition for a writ of certiorari. The judgment of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania was entered on July 31, 2025. Unless extended, the petition for a writ of certiorari is due on October 29, 2025. Petitioners originally submitted this application on October 16, 2025, more than 10 days before the due date, and sent it by overnight delivery. This corrected application is resubmitted with the required lower court order attached, pursuant to Rule 13.5. Petitioners respectfully seek an extension of 60 days, to and including December 28, 2025. Good cause exists for the requested extension. Petitioners are proceeding pro se and are preparing a petition presenting important federal statutory and constitutional issues, including whether state administrative decisions implementing utility policy conflict with federal statutes that condition advanced metering on an affirmative customer request, and whether those decisions raise due process and privacy concerns. Petitioners are also actively seeking pro bono counsel and/or amicus support, which further justifies the requested extension. For these reasons, Petitioners respectfully request that the time to file a petition for a writ of certiorari be extended by 60 days, to and including December 28, 2025. Respectfully submitted, ide ~ Kimberly Hanley G pheus Hanley Petitioner (pro se) Statement Regarding Timeliness and Jurisdiction: The date on which the highest state court decided this case was July 31, 2025.
