MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE FOR A WRIT OF CERTIORARI Pursuant to Rule 13.5 of the Rules of this Court, Petitioner, William Hudson, hereby requests a 60-day extension of time to file a Petition for a Writ of Certiorari extending from February 23, 2026 up.to and including April 23, 2026. JUDGMENT FOR WHICH REVIEW IS SOUGHT The judgment for which review is sought is Hudson v. State, 2025 Del. LEXIS 438 (Del. Supr. Ct. Nov. 24, 2025) (attached as Exhibit A). The Supreme Court of the State of Delaware denied Petitioner’s motion on Nov. 24, 2025. JURISDICTION This Court will have jurisdiction in this case pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1257(a) and good cause is shown pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2101(c). Under Rules 13.1, 13.1, and 30.1 of the Rules of this Court, a timely filed petition for writ of certiorari was due to be filed on or before February 23, 2026. In accordance with Rule 13.5, this application is being filed more than 10 days in advance of the filing date for the petition for writ of certiorari. REASON S JUSTIFYING AN EXTENSION OF TIME Petitioner respectfully requests a 60-day extension of time to file a petition for a writ of certiorari seeking review of the decision of the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware extending from February 23, 2026 up to and including April 23, 2026. The reasons constituting good cause are as follows: 1. The respondent will not be prejudiced if an extension of time is granted. <2. The'length of delay will not have ani impact on the course'of judicial proceedings. 3. Petitioner is an inmate at James T. Vaughn and is limited ‘in time and access to the Law Library and needs additional time to be able to adequately conduct research.
